Our Strategy
We accompany inventors in the drug development journey: from innovative scientific ideas towards the medicines of tomorrow
Our comprehensive approach de-risks investments for our partners
Providing management and operational support as an incubator, we maximize funding resources toward project maturation
We create a roadmap for the selected projects to mature towards proof-of-concept and commercialization: start-up creation or out-licencing
What we do
We look for life science projects from academia or early-stage biotech companies focused on aging and neurodegeneration
We synergize with scientists on a jointly defined project development plan to financially support, steer and accelerate the selected breakthrough proposals
We commercialize successful projects by creating spin-off companies or out-licensing to Pharma partners
What we are looking for
Innovative early-stage projects from universities, research institutions or biotech companies
Novel drug discovery projects, diagnostic methods, disease biomarkers or novel imaging approaches that focus on neurodegenerative diseases
Novel biomarkers and products that aim to increase healthspan by targeting the molecular and cellular mechanisms of aging
Projects with significant commercial potential
Strong IP position (recently filed or potential for new IP)
Collaborative and positive team spirit
Our selection process
Tell us about your project: are you a researcher or technology transfer officer? Send us an email or fill out this short application form describing your project.
After an initial assessment, we will give you timely feedback, which may lead to further discussions, analysis of developmental feasibility, commercial potential, and intellectual property position
Selected projects will enter the acceleration phase, where each will receive financing (of up to ~€1M) to achieve proof-of-concept within an average of 9 to 12 months
Projects that meet the defined milestones and success criteria are commercialized by CEBINA either through spin-out company formation or out-licensing
The newly incorporated company is managed and supported by the flexible CEBINA model to achieve its strategic goals
